Hedong (the east of the Yellow River) is considered as the cradle of the Chinese nation. It is the birthplace of the initial farming civilization of the Yellow River. Huangdi, Yandi, Chiyou, Yao, Shun, and Yu all left their footprints on this soil. It stands out in Chinese art by its long history, traditional culture and excellent folk culture.

The drum music and dance poem "East of the River", based on the stories of celebrities in the Hedong region that have influenced the historical process of Chinese civilization, adopts the classic artistic elements of the Hedong drum blended with drums, music, song, dance, drama and other art forms.
